In Fall 2018, during the Development of Tech-Based Instruction course, Rachel Martin and I created The Snake Invaders Game. We collaborated and shared the workload 50/50. We were provided a lesson plan for middle school students and the instruction to develop a learning game using Storyline. We developed the lesson plan into an interactive learning game that provided an engaging environment. To guide development, data was collected and processed from multiple assessments that included SME feedback, survey results from students within the specified age range, and one-on-one observations and interviews. Modifications were created based on the data to improve learner outcomes and instructional practices.

The purpose of the project used the article for this standard was to design and develop a project from start to end. Utilize project management frameworks, designate roles, and progress through the iterations of the specified framework. The Technology Project Management course provided insight into managing projects, discussed SCRUM, ADDIE, and other project management frameworks. The course has already assisted me in my current position as I manage community outreach projects. It taught me how to break down the project and reevaluate throughout each stage. Establishing mechanisms for maintaining the infrastructure of a project, whether it is technological, or an outreach program is vital to improve learning and performance.

Psychological Foundations of Education provided a refresher on many of the learning theories that I learned about during undergrad, it also developed several new concepts. I was able to create the infographic depicting three different learning theories that can assist in creating and managing a community of encouraged learners from diverse backgrounds, characteristics, and abilities (AECT, 2012). By employing modeling, demonstrating respect, and using positive reinforcement through specific praise; students feel empowered to learn. This class helped me to define ways to incorporate the various learning theories into education to best facilitate learning for all students.
